Lutfor Rahman Riton
Lutfor Rahman Riton is a well-known Bangladeshi rhymester, writer of young adults and children’s literature. A recipient of Bangla Academy Literary Award in 2007, Riton has been awarded with the Ekushe Padak, the highest civilian government recognition in Bangladesh, in 2024.
A member of the Bangladesh Liberation Museum and a fellow of Bangla Academy, Riton has worked as a presenter and a host for many shows for Bangladesh Television (BTV). He started his career as a journalist and worked for various dailies, weeklies, bi-weeklies and monthlies. His first book for adults was published in 1984. Riton lives in Ottawa.
