Jakaria’s writing career started at the high school stage with publishing a magazine named ‘Moushomver’ along with his boyhood friends. The writer wrote three books named Shopner Immigration’, ‘Homelss, and Jotsna Mansion’ which were published at the 2023 21st February Book Fair in Bangladesh. The writer while writing those books used his long own immigration experiences, challenges, and social service career in Canada. The writer was awarded with a letter of recognition by the local MPP, recognizing his contribution to the Bangladeshi Canadian community. In 2021, the writer wrote an article on ‘Mental Health’ which was published by Toronto Bangla School in the magazine named ‘Bornomala’.. The writer’s popular story ‘Shekar’ based on the Bangladesh Liberation War was published in a book named Panchas-e Bangladesh from Bookland Publications (2002). The writer is in a process of writing another novel named ‘House Husband’ that might be published in next Boi Mela, Dhaka.
Canadian most popular Bengali TV channel NRB and weekly magazine Bangla Mail organized a literacy festival in Toronto for recognizing Canadian Bengali 15 new authors including this writer. In next month August 26, Jakaria attended along with three other Bengali writers in the Canadian South Asian Literacy Festival and discussed his writing experiences.
