Jharna Chatterjee
Jharna Chatterjee, born in 1939, grew up in semi-rural Arambagh, West Bengal, amid a culturally rich environment. From childhood she started writing poems, then stories and essays on diverse topics. She earned a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Philosophy from Calcutta University before migrating to Canada in 1966 and earning a Master’s and a doctoral degree in Psychology. She worked for many years with the RCMP and Department of Justice as a researcher and now is retired. She is an avid traveler, and likes to share her experiences with others through her writings and photography.
