ML Gani
ML Gani alias Mohammad Lokman Gani, started writing for the first time while in the seventh grade. A short story called ‘Rickshawala’ was published in 1977. Besides short stories, he also writes columns on contemporary issues in newspapers. He is the author of the ‘Canada Ovibashoner Tookitaki’ series published continuously in the first Bengali language online newspaper bdnews24.com. His first volume of stories ‘Kachi Cheharar Birambana’ was published in 2016.
Gani has lived in Canada for twenty two years. Wife Halima Afreen is a teacher with the Edmonton Public School Board. They have three children.
