K. Gandhar Chakravarty
K. Gandhar Chakravarty is a poet, scholar, and musician. His poems have been published internationally and some have been translated into Bengali, the mother tongue of his most immediate ancestors. Author of Kolkata Dreams (2009) and Maple Vedas (2010) Gandhar explores the liminal space of being Indo-Canadian in his poetry books. Gandhar is also published scholar in the field of religious studies with a focus on Rastafari and Ibandla lamaNazaretha (Shembe Church). As a recording artist specializing in classic rock and reggae, you can find his music under Far From Shore (2002-2008) and Anaconda Con Leche (2020-present).
