Kamal Uddin

Kamal Uddin (born in 1958) completed his Master’s degree in Bengali Literature from the University of Dhaka in 1982.

He has been practicing photography since 1980. He earned a Diploma in Photography from the Begart Institute of Photography in 1990 and obtained the Senior Grade Photographer Licentiateship (LBPS) from the Qualification Board of the Bangladesh Photographic Society in the same year.

He is the founder of the Narayanganj Photographic Society.

His published books, Easy Photography (1996) and Photography: Basic and Advanced (2001), were published in India.

He served as an honorary librarian at the Narayanganj Sudhijan Library for nine years.

He is a life member of Bangla Academy.

Since 2000, he has been living in Toronto with his family.
