Mamunur Rashid

Mamunur Rashid, a singer and organiser, was born on November 22, 1954 at Chandpur of Bangladesh. Receiving his schooling in his own town, Mamun completed his Honours and Master’s degrees in Public Administration from Dhaka University. Afterwards he served in offices in England, India and Singapore.

Since 1997 Mamun has been living in Toronto with his wife and two sons. He is well-known in the Canadian Bengali community for his cultural activities. His debut book, ‘Chelebelar Kotha’ came out in 2016.
