Mitra Chattopadhyay
Mitra Chattopadhyay, the daughter of noted Bengali poet Birendra Chattopadhyay, was born in Kolkata in 1956. Completing her Master’s from Kolkata University, Mitra served as a geologist for about twenty years. She got training on Environmental Management from the United Kingdom in 1995 and graduated in Environmental Technology from Canada.
An owner of Sohojiya Publishers, Mitra’s book to her credit is Maple Mita (2015), a collection of writings in Bengali on Emigrant life in Canada.
