Mohammad Zakir Hossain Sarkar

Barrister Mohammad Zakir Hossain Sarkar obtained his Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Master’s degree in Law from the University of Chittagong. In 1998, he began his professional career after being certified as a lawyer. For many years, he worked on law, human rights, and development issues in Bangladesh as well as in various countries across Asia and Africa. His writing on development issues was published in an international journal and translated into four languages. His book on law, Nityodiner Ain (“Everyday Law”), was published in 2005. He occasionally writes poetry. After moving to Canada, he completed another Master’s degree in Law from York University and joined the legal profession as a Barrister and Solicitor. Since then, he has continued his writing habit in Porobashi Blog and Bangla Mail newspaper.
