Mou Modhubontee
Mou Modhubontee, born in 1964 and raised in Bangladesh, spent most of her life in America and Canada. A poet, writer, stage performer and human rights activist, Mou pursued her Master’s Degree in Geography from Dhaka University. Her poetry, both in English and Bengali, has been published in many national newspapers and little magazines. In 1999 she achieved award from Poetry.com, for her book “Future to Die”. Her Bengali poetry books are: ‘Rokto Nadi Eka’ (2006), ‘Odhara I-Phone’ (2007), ‘Batashe Brikkho Prem’ (2011), ‘Mouno Raage Jothsnar Snan’ (2017), ‘Mon ORe Kolaboti Raage’ (2017). ‘Mon Purane Marilyn Monroe’ (2012) is her short story book.
