Mustafiz Rahman

Mustafiz Rahman is a poet, novelist, short-story writer. By profession he is an architect-urban planner, educationist and artist. His first published book was a novel named “Nishiddho Jubokera” published in 2001 from the publisher Magnum Opus, Dhaka.

The poems of Mustafiz depicts imageries frequently glide into the dreamlike and intangible, captivating astounding leaps to transcend the present and the past, the precise and the planetary; an continual transfiguration of words, metaphors, thoughts, images which punctures the apparent predictability of the mundane world.

His melodies of poetry integrate around nature, nostalgia, love, politics, and social condition, shaped by metaphors and multifaceted expression.
