Syed Zahir Sadeque

Syed Zahir Sadeque, currently based in Toronto, is a Sociologist by training and a teacher, researcher and development practitioner by vocation. He was educated at The University of Dhaka and Cornell University, USA. He has also taken short courses with University of Philippines, University of Indiana-Bloomington and United Nations Staff College, Turin, Italy.

Zahir or Sadeque as he is known to his friend/acquaintance circle is more of a (voracious) reader than a writer. His publications (Journal articles, books and articles in books) are on social, economic and development issues on Bangladesh, South Asia and global affairs.
